Waldorf Summer camp and fall enrollment

Waldorf Summer Camp! 8:30-4:30

Is for children ages 2.5 up to age 8, so a nice mixed age group! We also have a summer cook now, so no more packing lunches!
June 13th-Aug. 17th 2011

We have a chicken coop & 3 chickens for the children to help care for along with our 2 bunnies & 2 cats & one dog 3 aquatic frogs & fish.

Summer Camp will be full of fun theme weeks.

Butterfly weeks (2 week block) (hatch them, Watch butterflies; make them, songs, crafts, acting)

Lady bug week (release them into our garden, make them, paint a rock to look like one, ladybug bracelets)
Tree Week (Look to see how many different trees in our neighborhood, make one out of collected branches, take a real one home to plant, be a tree, puppet show on things that live in trees)

Water Week (Make a pond, float a boat we make in it, play in it, see what floats, what sinks, freeze it , water colors)
Flower Week (collect them, press them, make flower paper, flower head wreaths)

Animal week (Share a pic of your pet, animal puppet shows, fun animal songs, crafts)
Native American Week (Native Story tellers, crafts, songs & dances)

I am doing a project on physical birth recovery issues and realizing that most mamas have something they are working on containing, stabilizing,connecting with or dealing with (diastasis recti, tearing, pelvic floor issues, specific C/S issues.Also, any great local resources/practitioners you would recommend? Winterhaven anyone?

So the with very little hope of actually getting into Winterhaven for the Fall 2011 via the lottery, I got a double surprise in the mail yesterday! Both my soon to be 2nd grader got a spot, along with my soon to be kindergartner!  Can anyone give me some input on the community there?  Does anyone have a child that transferred in after kindergarten? How was the transition? Any thoughts in general? Any input is greatly appreciated!
